This is a superb Premier Cru Burgundy red wine with the usual cherry and strawberry flavours with extra smoothness to match. The grapes come from the Lycêe Viticole's own highly prized Premier Cru vineyard on the Montee Rouge in the Montagne area next to the town of Beaune. Premier Cru is the highest level a Beaune wine can get and the classic, complex taste of this wine is proof of that.   more..

This is a biodynamic wine, which can best be described as 'organic plus' (see FAQs). This wine uses 100% biodynamically produced Chardonnay grapes from the top Premier Cru vineyard zone in St Aubin. It is then produced using naturally occurring yeasts and natural fermentation so that minimal use of even traditional wine additives are used in making this wine. Technically, this is an outstanding achievement with white wine. It is as natural a wine product as you will ever see. What is even more remarkable is how excellent the wine is.   more..
Château Haut-Goujon 2001 AOC Lalande de Pomerol

This wine is rated *** by Decanter Magazine in their December 2005 survey of the Lalande de Pomerol, the whole area of which has received major investment over the past few years so that the wines from there are now on a par with at least the second ranking (but much more expensive) Pomerol wines. This wine, 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, is made in the Chateau Haut Goujon's modern winery and matured for 12 months in oak barrels. The wine is characterised by purple hews with an elegant bouquet exhibiting smoked ripe fruit and vanilla. On tasting it is a supple and generous wine which develops fruit notes. The 2001 is just ready to drink now but will keep for 15 years. (two per case)  more..
