(Item ID: JGW0082)
Description: A typically light Pinot Noir as one would expect from a cooler wine production zone which Marlborough is. Flavours of raspberries, blueberries with a little grapefruit, which all develops into strong mushroom notes in the finish make this a complex and distinctive wine. Meant to be drunk young.
Rated 86 points: 'Light-bodied, offering crisp, elegant strawberry and cranberry flavors that have pretty echoes of mineral, spice and floral notes in the background. Drink now through 2015. 800 cases imported. (2011)' - Winespectator
Rated *** by Decanter: 'Toasty, baked fruits, mint, smoke and bacon. Easy-drinking and integrated.'
Producer's notes: 'Our Pinot Noir is hand selected from the Falveys Road Vineyard. Aged for 10 months in 33% new oak barriques, this vintage is a superb example of Marlborough Pinot Noir. This Falveys Pinot displays an elegant fruit balance, silky tannins, and has a memorable length. Cedar-laced dark forest berries are complimented by nuances of fruitcake, vanilla, and spice.'
