Description/Tasting Notes:
 This hand crafted wine from the small vineyard of Shottesbrooke vineyards, named after the town of the same name in Berkshire, England where apparently the founders of the vineyard had previous family connections. The wine has a dense deep red colour still showing purple hues. On the nose the wine shows black cherry fruit with some black pepper and spice. The aromas are complex with toasty oak. On the palate there are layers of rich cherry and plum fruit mingled with mocha and toasty vanilla oak. The wine finishes with abundant but soft tannin and a warm velvety mouthfeel. An excellent wine to be served with red meats or game.
