Description/Tasting Notes:
Cuvêe Nicholas is a mixture of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscadelle carefully grown on Patricia Atkinson's vineyards. After harvesting it is macerated overnight to give it body and structure. It is then fermented directly in oak barrels, which produces the complex flavour and long palate. The aromas are of grapefruit, vanilla and toasted fruits. It is great as an aperitif or served with sophisticated flavoursome food such as mushrooms, scallops or chicken in a cream sauce.

Back Label:
Clos d'Yvigne Cuvêe Nicholas 2003 Cuvêe Nicholas is a blend of Sauvignon, Semillon and Muscadelle. Fermented in oak barrels for 9 months and bottled at the chateau as soon as the balance between oak and fruit is achieved. It is unfiltered and any deposit is completely natural and in no way damages the quality of the wine. The freshness of Sauvignon marries with the richness of ripe Semillon, while the Muscadelle adds perfume. Grapefruit and toasted fruit aromas with overtones of vanilla. Drink now and for the next five years. Patricia Atkinson Winemaker and author of "The Ripening Sun
