Description/Tasting Notes:
The Petit Prince is vinified by traditional methods with a long maceration period after the first fermentation to extract maximum fruit flavour, colour and tannins. It is then aged in oak barrels for up to two years. The 90% Merlot in the Merlot/Cabernet Franc blend of Le Petit Prince produces the fruity aromas of cherries and blackcurrants to which the cabernet franc adds a hint of spice. It is a wine that is powerful on the nose and supple in the mouth. This wine is excellent to accompany game, patè or meats in full flavour sauces.

The grapes are predominantly Merlot, giving velvet suppleness and cherry aromas with Cabernet Franc adding spices and pepper. The wine is aged in oak for two years and bottled at the chateau. Excellent drinking now and has an ageing potential of up to 10 years. Patricia Atkinson Winemaker and author of "The Ripening Sun
